IDEA Consult designs societal impact assessment tool for TECNALIA, the largest center for applied research and technological development in Spain

With this project, TECNALIA aims to obtain an assessment of its societal impact, in particular related to its contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to furthering important transition priorities in the Basque region.

TECNALIA achieved the end of a strategy cycle in 2020 with the objective of increasing the effect of its R&D and Innovation in line with its mission: 'Transforming technology into GDP’. The research center was able to witness the growing beneficial influence of its work during this cycle on several scopes, such as economic, scientific-technological, social, and environmental, thanks to its original approach and tools.

With this project, TECNALIA aims to obtain an assessment of its societal impact, in particular related to its contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to furthering important transition priorities in the Basque region. Over a 6-month trajectory, IDEA Consult will conduct an in-depth analysis of 6 key areas of intervention in which TECNALIA has made a clear contribution, or expects to have such contribution in the future, to support the Basque region in rolling out the necessary transitions.
