Tony Vermeire

Tony Vermeire is an expert in the (local) government and regions team of IDEA Consult. Tony was the mayor of the municipality Lievegem for 10 years before joining IDEA as a consultant. As the mayor of a merged municipality, he built up a lot of practical experience with change processes, merger processes and local governance. 

Before that, Tony worked as a school director and educational supervisor, where he guided school teams through change processes. In his role as secretary of the Flemish Education Council, he wrote advice and organised study days in cooperation with the various education partners.  

Within IDEA, his focus is logically on local governance and guiding organisations in strategy, organisation and change.
