Martina Fraioli has been working as a consultant at IDEA Consult since March 2020. Her main work at IDEA focuses on the cultural and creative economy, but also on more transversal topics such as access to finance, inter-regional collaboration, entrepreneurship and knowledge ecosystems. She is involved in numerous projects and studies focused on culture, creativity and research and innovation, such as ‘Creative FLIP – Finance Learning Innovation Patenting’, ‘Perform Europe’, ‘Fostering knowledge valorisation through the arts and cultural institutions’ and ‘Knowledge Ecosystems in the new ERA’, among others.
Her methodological toolkit includes both quantitative and qualitative research methods: organisation and analysis of large-scale online surveys, interviews, benchmarking and ecosystem analysis. Martina has also sound knowledge in workshop facilitation techniques and impact assessment frameworks. Morevoer, she combines her research skills to strong project management (also in large-scale projects involving international partners).
Martina obtained a Master’s degree in Economics and Management of Arts and Cultural Activities at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in 2018, where she graduated with a research thesis on governance and change management in cultural and creative organisations. Previous to her work at IDEA Consult, Martina worked at Sapienza University of Rome as thesis tutor, at the European Parliament and at ENCATC, the European network on cultural management and policy.
